Cases run on standard SQL (PostgreSQL-compatible). Everything you learn: SELECTs, JOINs, aggregations, subqueries, window functions -- it all transfers directly to MySQL, SQLite, BigQuery, Redshift, and most other databases.
The Detective and Senior Detective arcs introduce JOINs, GROUP BY, and subqueries through the case narrative. Concepts appear when the story needs them. The Chief Detective arc covers more complex multi-step queries and timed Investigations. No prior SQL experience required to start.
